Gion is not only a famous geisha district. One of the characteristics of this district is that people live in the same houses where they do their business and so, it is a living quarter as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the following short videos, we asked the local residents what they think about the rising numbers of the tourists (both domestic and international) and what kind of issues they face in their everyday lives due to the increasing number of people walking the streets of Gion.<\/p>\n\n\n
